Trail Details
Distance: 5 miles (out-and-back)
Duration: 3 hrs
Difficulty: Moderate—just challenging enough to feel like an adventure but still manageable for most hikers.
This trail’s moderate challenge makes it ideal for families and groups. There are some steeper spots along the way, but nothing too intense, so it’s great for a range of fitness levels. Just be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water, especially during warmer months!
What to Expect on the Hike
Starting off, you’ll find yourself in the beautiful desert landscape, surrounded by rock formations that feel like something out of a movie. The trail is generally flat to begin with, making for a relaxed start. As you continue, the path gets a little more rugged and starts to narrow until you reach the famous “crack” in the mountain.
