1. Festival of Lights
Dates: November 29th, 2024 - January 5th, 2025
Location: London Bridge
Kick off your holiday season with the Festival of Lights! The iconic London Bridge transforms into a twinkling wonderland with over 500,000 lights illuminating the Bridgewater Channel. This family-friendly event is free to the public and perfect for evening strolls under the bridge or a night cruise to see the lights from the water. Parking is also free at the English Village and the London Bridge Resort and Convention Center.
Pro Tip: Lights are on until 10 PM nightly, so you have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat, maybe some hot cocoa and make it a cozy evening out!
2. Havasu Ice Skating
Location: London Bridge Resort, 1477 Queens Bay
Yes, you read that right—ice skating in the desert! Head over to the London Bridge Resort for some ice skating fun. It’s a unique experience to skate under the lights with a view of the bridge.
Seasonal Hours:
Sundays: 4 PM - 8 PM
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 4 PM - 9 PM
Fridays & Saturdays: 4 PM - 10:30 PM
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
3. Sledding with Santa
Date: December 13 & 14, 2024
Location: The Shops at Lake Havasu, Suite 716 (Center Court)
Who says you can’t go sledding in Havasu? Santa will be at The Shops at Lake Havasu, ready to bring some snowy cheer. This free event is a great opportunity to meet Santa, take pictures, and enjoy a little sledding action. Just bring your camera to capture those holiday memories!
4. Havasu Boat Parade of Lights
Date: December 14, 2024
Location: Bridgewater Channel
One of Lake Havasu’s (and The Hunter Families) most beloved traditions, the Boat Parade of Lights is a must-see! Over 100 boats decked out in holiday lights glide through the Bridgewater Channel, creating a mesmerizing display. Viewing spots are free and available at Rotary Community Park, London Bridge Beach, and Lake Havasu State Park. The event also includes food trucks, live entertainment, and even a visit from Santa himself!
Giving Back: Proceeds support local Christmas programs like the Firefighters Holiday Toy Drive, Lake Havasu Food Bank, and Shop with a Cop.
